Landry Thomas Obituary

On Friday January 2, 2026, God welcomed Landry into His loving arms to join his Parents and Brother Lee Riley Thomas. Landry was born on October 21, 1954 to the late Levine Thomas and Rozita (Freeman) Thomas. He was the oldest boy of the family. He was baptized at an early age at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Ville Platte, LA. Landry worked as a driver for Port Aggregates, Inc in Nuba for 40 plus years. Everyone knew Landry by either, "Landris", "LT", "Chin", "Fla" or "Boi." Landry was the life of the party and he had a laugh that filled the room. Anytime that you were around him, there was a black pot, lots of laughter and endless dancing. He never knew a stranger, especially if they spoke French. Landry was all about family and was always one phone call away when you needed him.
Cherishing his memory is one son, Eric Thomas of Ville Platte, LA; three daughters, Jackie (Thomas) Smith of Ville Platte, LA; Daphne Thomas of Ville Platte, LA; Kanjekawaunia Doucet of Ville Platte, LA. One grandson, Ayden Smith; one grand-daughter, Kaydence Smith. Four sisters; four brothers; a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
