Larrie Lovstad Obituary

Larrie DuWaine Lovstad passed away on November 13, 2024 at his home in Savage, Minnesota at the age of 90 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents Orval and Lillie Lovstad, sister Bonnie Coloroso and nephew Perry Coloroso.

He is survived by his sister Sandra Barrett of Phoenix, AZ; his nieces Shay Coloroso of Milliken, CO, Shannon Barrett of Phoenix, AZ, and nephew Sean (Stacey) Barrett of Phoenix, AZ; and several great nieces and nephews.

Larrie was born on October 11, 1934 in Holmes City Township, Minnesota to Orval and Lillie Lovstad. He was raised in the Alexandria area and graduated from Central High School in 1952. He worked for the Minnesota Grain Inspectors Department for twelve years, the United States Post Office in Savage for thirty years and was a member of the Savage Volunteer Fire Department for twenty years.

Larrie enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Lake Mille Lacs to hunt and fish both summer and winter seasons. He was an avid bowler, bowling as many as 3-4 leagues a week for many years. He was a sports fanatic and loved watching the Gophers, Vikings and the Twins. He also loved studying and betting on the horses at Canterbury Park and spending a day at the casino. He was a family man and a very proud resident of Savage, Minnesota.
