Larry Wayne Anglin, 77, was born on September 1, 1947, to Larn Carnell Anglin and Kathryn Bernice (Young) Anglin. He entered his eternal home on July 7, 2025, due to an accident.
Larry had a lifelong passion for adventure and learning. While still in high school, he was honored with scholarships to attend several out-of-state summer college programs. After graduating from Terrebonne High School in Houma, LA, Larry began his studies at Tulane University School of Medicine and Public Health where he earned his doctorate in 1972. He served as a physician in the United States Airforce from 1973-1977, stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. He served as the company physician for more than 20 years at Conoco Phillips located in Houston, Tx.
His sense of adventure took him on many world travels, with a special heart for Israel. He enjoyed sharing his love for travel with others and often planned trips with his wife and close friends.
Larry came from a family who loved animals dearly, particularly cats. His kitty, Lucky, will miss his Daddy but will continue living his life to the fullest. Larry supported CAP (Citizens for Animal Protection).
His passion for travel and kitties paled in comparison to the love he had for Lady D. Larry & Dianne met in 1994 and quickly became the best of friends. The two married in January of 2019 and have been inseparable ever since.
Larry was an active member of Second Baptist Church where he attended Bible study and silently served alongside his wife.
We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived - loving our Lord, the people, pets, and places that God created.
Larry will be missed by his wife, Dianne, his mother-in-love, Solange Loughran, his bonus children, Stacie Ford (Cecil), Jason LeBlanc, Michael Baker (Lillian), their children, and many other extended family members and close friends.
The celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Williams House @ Second Baptist Church – West Campus located at 19449 Katy Fwy Houston, TX 77094. Interment will be at the National Cemetery.
Special thanks to the Gatekeepers family and numerous friends for their love and support during this journey.
