Larry passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born in Camden, SC and was the son of the late William Furman Baker and the late Evelyn Timmons Baker.

Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Teresa Bowen Baker, of Cassatt; son, William Larry "Will" Baker, II (Alicia), of Cassatt; grandchildren, Bailee, Brantlee, Allie, and Collin; siblings, Richard Furman "Rick" Baker (Debbie), of Pelion, Linda Hart, of Clinton, NC, Brenda Melton (Jim), of Camden, Becky Hedinger, of Camden; a very special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Andy Neal, as well as a very special niece and nephew, Olivia and Logan Neal, all of Kershaw.

Larry was both a true businessman and entrepreneur in every way. He put his heart and soul into healthcare insurance sales, but recently discovered a newfound passion of helping people beautify their homes. He was the proud owner of Southeast Insurance Agency and Palmetto State Cabinets and Flooring. His greatest joy was his family, and he especially cherished his role as Papa, delighting in time spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who consistently went above and beyond for those he loved. Larry was active in his church and community, serving on numerous boards over the years. He was also a longtime member of the Freemason Brotherhood. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Larry enjoyed everything from relaxing at the beach to working on his land with his family in Liberty Hill.
