Larry David Brim, born on November 2, 1939, peacefully passed away on August 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and remarkable achievements. Larry dedicated his life to the field of chemistry, earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern State University and working at various companies including Marathon Oil, DX Sunray, John Deere, and Kaiser Chemical Plant. However, his most fulfilling role was as a self-employed chemist at Mid America Industrial Testing Labs. Throughout his illustrious career, Larry was a proud member of the Chemical Society for over 50 years. He also served his community with great passion, contributing to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, State of Oklahoma Committee on Water Quality, and various church committees. Larry's commitment to education and community was evident in his involvement as a past president of the Pryor Public Schools School Board and as a dedicated Sunday school teacher. An active member of the First United Methodist Church in Pryor for more than five decades, Larry embodied the values of faith, service, and compassion. His impact extended beyond his professional and community engagements, as he touched the lives of many through his generous spirit and unwavering dedication. In his leisure time, Larry found peace in the simplicity of life's pleasures. Whether catfishing on the river, quail hunting in the great outdoors, or cheering on his beloved OU sports team, Larry embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy. He had a knack for tinkering, effortlessly turning every challenge around the house into a project he could fix with skill and creativity. Larry's proudest accomplishment was his marriage to Judy Foreman on April 16, 1960, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Their enduring love and partnership stood as a beacon of strength and unity for their family and friends. Larry cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, finding immense joy in supporting his grandchildren at all their sporting events. He cherished every moment spent on the sidelines, traveling far and wide to watch his grandchildren excel in every sport they played and was always their biggest fan. A man of integrity, resilience, and infinite wisdom, Larry David Brim will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
