Larry Allen Buffman, a man known for his humor and loving nature, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on December 29, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Clarence & Lois (Ives) Buffman, Larry's life was characterized by his dedication to his family, his passion for the outdoors, and his memorable sense of humor. Larry spent his final moments in Bentley, Michigan, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family following a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his life, Larry was the cornerstone of his family, providing unwavering support and endless entertainment.
He is survived by his cherished family members, including his daughters, Sarah (Justin) Scholtz, Sabrina (Orval) Buffman, and Stacie Green. Larry's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Brandon, Breanna, Justina, Brooke, Brett, Tyler, Taylor, and Hunter, as well as his eight great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored. He was predeceased in death by his parents, brothers David and Kelvin Buffman and Karen Buffman the mother of his children. Larry's career in construction allowed him to retire with a sense of pride and accomplishment. His colleagues remember him not only for his hard work and dedication but also for the laughter he brought to the job site.
An outdoor enthusiast, Larry found solace and joy in nature. Whether he was riding his tractor or simply enjoying the beauty of the natural world, he was happiest in the open air. His role as the family jokester will be fondly remembered, as his humor brought light and levity to every gathering. Larry's heart of gold was evident to all who knew him. His love for his family and friends was boundless, and his ability to make others feel loved and valued was one of his most remarkable traits. The words "funny" and "loving." encapsulate Larry's spirit perfectly; he was a man who could always be counted on for a laugh, a hug, or a word of encouragement.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, at 12 noon from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding with burial in Gibson Township Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until time of service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to Compassus Hospice for the compassionate care given to Larry.
