Larry E. Cederstrom, 81, of Sherrard, passed away October 29, 2025, at Celebrate Senior Living of Moline, after a hard fought battle with brain cancer.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday November 3, 2025, at Esterdahl Funeral Home, 1301 4th Street, Orion. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday November 2, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sherrard Food Bank or the Rock Island County Humane Society. Please dress casually and wear Chicago Bears attire if you have it.

Larry was born on March 5, 1944, in Moline, the son of Albert A. and Madelene J. (DeKeyrel) Cederstrom. He had been employed as an Operating Engineer with the IUOE Local 150. Growing up on a farm, Larry enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, deer hunting and known as "deer sensei" to some. He liked to be outdoors, golfing and fishing with his friend, Craig. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Larry raised German Shepherds and loved being with his dogs.

Survivors include his children, Shawn (Liz) Cederstrom, Robin Cederstrom, Brandi (Jason) Willey; grandchildren, Raven Terrell and Marcus Terrell; great grandchildren, Gemma and Iris Terrell; sister, Kris (Lee) Nice; sister-in-law, Twila Cederstrom; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Craig and Susan Corcoran.

He was preceded in death by his son, Quint, granddaughter, Chantal, and brother, Albert.

A special thank you to Larry’s sister, Kris, who devotedly cared for her brother and never left his side. Her love and kindness will never be forgotten.
