Larry C. Clark, age 77 from Delano in Polk County, TN departed this life to enter the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after battling pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home, as he passed into his eternal life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.O. and Diora (Melton) Clark, Charlie and Gussie (Nichols) Davis. His parents Charles and Eunice (Davis) Clark, all from McMinn County.

In 2002, he retired from Bowater Paper Mill, after 23 years of service. Following his retirement, he continued his passion for farming by raising black Angus beef cattle, a pursuit he enjoyed for the remainder of his life.
Throughout his life, Larry was a man of deep faith. He loved the Lord and placed his trust in His word. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. His love for music was also a defining part of his life, as he spent much of his time singing Southern Gospel music. His favorite group was the Cathedral Quartet, and he found great joy in sharing that love with others.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman with an unwavering love for his family. He was a constant source of strength, support, and love for them. You would often see him on the banks of the Hiawassee River standing at his grill preparing a meal for the entire family or at a reunion with his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
A service to celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating at 2:00 pm.
