Larry C. Clark, age 77 from Delano in Polk County, TN departed this life to enter the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after battling pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home, as he passed into his eternal life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.O. and Diora (Melton) Clark, Charlie and Gussie (Nichols) Davis. His parents Charles and Eunice (Davis) Clark, all from McMinn County.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Connie Harbison Clark. His two sons Roger (Tracy) Clark and their children Lainie (Jake) Roberson, Summer, Miranda, and Tessa Clark. Jeff (Wendy) Clark and their children Amanda (Riley) Goforth, Dakota Clark, and Kayla (Cameron) Calhoun, and 4 great grandchildren. His brother Gary Clark (Kay German) and sister Sandra (Bennie) Richardson. Uncle Boyd Davis and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

With the help of his devoted wife, Connie, they became the youngest dairy farmers in Polk County, in the early 1970's. Their partnership was the foundation of a life filled with hard work, love, and shared dreams.

In 2002, he retired from Bowater Paper Mill, after 23 years of service. Following his retirement, he continued his passion for farming by raising black Angus beef cattle, a pursuit he enjoyed for the remainder of his life.

Throughout his life, Larry was a man of deep faith. He loved the Lord and placed his trust in His word. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. His love for music was also a defining part of his life, as he spent much of his time singing Southern Gospel music. His favorite group was the Cathedral Quartet, and he found great joy in sharing that love with others.

Larry was an avid outdoorsman with an unwavering love for his family. He was a constant source of strength, support, and love for them. You would often see him on the banks of the Hiawassee River standing at his grill preparing a meal for the entire family or at a reunion with his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by many family members and friends whose lives he touched.

A service to celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dakota Clark, Jake Roberson, Noah Shaw, Tommy Barron, Riley Goforth, and Cameron Calhoun will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Clark and Reed Davis.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice for their services and dedicated care during his illness.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Larry or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
