Larry Cooper Obituary Larry David Cooper, age 76 of Draper, died Tuesday evening, June 17, 2025, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He was born in Front Royal, Virginia on September 27, 1948, and was the son of the late Evelyn Mae Keyser Cooper, and the late David Pinkney Cooper. Larry was a member of Max Creek Baptist Church in Draper and retired as an owner/operator of his own trucking company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Angela Bernatte Lamm and a brother James Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Lonnie Cooper of Draper: two daughters; Nancy Mae Cooper of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Diane Lee Cooper of Boonsboro, Maryland: sister; Linda Beth (Steven) Howard of Hagerstown, MD: niece; Kaitlynn. grandchildren; David, September, Cora and Cami and great-grandchildren; Case and Taylynne.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Max Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Coleman officiating. The pallbearers will be Terry Prince, Mike Cooper, Clarence Wade, Steven Howard, David Ames and Griffin Ellis. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Max Creek Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 3000 Old Route 100 Road, Draper, Virginia 24324.
