Larry M Cross

Larry M. Cross, 75, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025, in Quality of Life Services, New Castle.

Mr. Cross was born September 6, 1950, in New Castle, a son of Harold and Rose Marie (Ireno) Cross. He was a 1968 graduate of Laurel High School.

For many years, Larry worked as a security guard for several companies, most recently at Rockwell International in New Castle.

Larry was a member of Evangel Community Church of New Castle.

He enjoyed playing BINGO with friends and family. A prostate cancer and stroke survivor, he was a member of the Lawrence County Cancer Support Group. 

His beloved wife of 27 years, Ruth Ann (Wertman) Cross, whom he married June 27, 1998, survives at home.

Larry is also survived by a sister, Donna; a brother, John Cross; and two sisters-in-law, Jerrie and Barbara, all of New Castle. Additionally, he is survived by three nieces, Jenny, LeeAnn, and Carrie; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Cross.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the family.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday (12-3-25) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately following, in the funeral home, with Pastor Harry Edenhofer, officiating.

Interment will follow in Castleview Memorial Gardens, Neshannock Twp.
