Herta was born in Germany on March 28, 1950 to the late, Alfred and Barbara (Bomke) Hietch. She later married her beloved husband Albert Pidro and they shared nearly forty years together. Albert preceded her in death on June 8, 2013.
Herta was a bookkeeper for Citizens Bank for many years. She also spent time as a homemaker caring for her mother. She enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, painting, visiting casinos, traveling and camping. Herta's greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends. Herta was such a caring, generous, and loving mother and Oma. She was loved beyond words and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Herta is survived by her daughter, Erika Carson (Michael), grandchildren, Isabella, William, and Sophia Holmes, Andrew Carson, and step-grandson, Xoen Smith-Carson; sister-in-law, Rosella and Dave Kendall, her sister by heart, Louise Masters; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.
Visitation will be at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 941 S. Mill St. on Wednesday, November 26 from 10 am until noon, followed immediately by the Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Alex DeRosa.
