Obituary
Funeral services for Larry Cecil Crummer, 88, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 5, 2023 at the Trinity Baptist Church, 1424 Griffith Way, Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Rich Cullen officiating. Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8 and Wyoming Army National Guard Military Honors.

Larry Crummer passed from this life in the hands of his loving Savior on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in Douglas, Wyoming.
Larry was born Friday July 6th, 1934, in Tensleep, Wyoming. He was raised by parents, Thomas Henry and Ethel May (Lovitt) Crummer. Larry moved around as a child, always remaining in southeast Wyoming, settling in Douglas in 1951. At this time, his father passed away. Larry finished high school with honors while working a full-time job and supporting his family. He joined the Wyoming Army National Guard in November 1952, serving for eleven years.
Larry married Mary Elaine Hornbuckle on May 24th, 1956 in Douglas. They had three children, Laurie Royal Hurly, Montey Crummer (Sheila), and Deidre Tedford Crummer.
Larry worked hard all his life, starting at the age of five. He was a man of honor and integrity. He loved, cherished, and sacrificed for Elaine until her death in 2018. He was a very good father who modeled sacrificial love, honesty, and responsibility. Besides his own children, he was a father to many with whom he took under his wing. He was a business man, a farmer, and rancher and served his community in elected positions and on many boards. At his passing, he was serving on the board of directors of Senior Housing, a position he had held for seventeen years. He will be missed by his family, his many friends, and his community.
Larry is survived by his son, Montey (Shelia) Crummer; daughter, Deidre Tedford; sister, Leona (David) Crain; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Crummer, on April 21, 2018, his daughter, Laurie Royal Hurly, on April 4, 2015; father, Thomas, on March 22, 1951; and mother, January 2, 1969.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Crummer, Clint Farmer, Ben Applegate, Erin Hashaw, Tayler Baugher, and Logan Applegate.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Art Sims, Grant Royal, Bryce Tedford, Quay Hornbuckle, kirk Hornbuckle, and Brent Hornbuckle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Douglas Boys and Girls Club of Douglas, 802 Riverbend Drive, Doulas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by his family.
