A graveside service will be held for Robert Taylor, 79, on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Glenrock Cemetery in Glenrock, Wyoming with Pastor James W. Ritter of the First Southern Baptist Chapel officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Wyoming Army National Guard Military Funeral Humors and Jesse Martin American Legion Post #9.

Robert Taylor died unexpectantly at his home in Rolling Hills, Wyoming on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

He was born Friday, February 7, 1947 in Radford, Virginia the son of Arland and Annie Gertrude (Austin) Taylor. The family moved to Big Piney, Wyoming in 1957. Robert served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam era. He was married to Joan, Nancy, and Debra which all ended in a divorce. He was known as "Worm" during his 15-year driving career in the oilfields. He owned and operated Worm Trucking and had lived 45 years in Rawlins, Wyoming. Because of health issues he has resided in Rolling Hills the past three years.

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all driving his truck. His most enjoyable time of the year was when he helped his friend herd the cattle over the mountain the from Big Piney, Wyoming to LaBarge, Wyoming.

He is survived by his long time companion, Cindy Taylor, of Rolling Hills and her sons, Donald (Erica) Taylor of Casper, Wyoming and Ryan Taylor of Rolling Hills; brothers, Frank (LaVon) Taylor of Buffalo, Wyoming, Arland (Nancy) Taylor of Gillette, Wyoming, Henry (Nancy) Taylor of Glendo, Wyoming, and Donald Taylor of Buffalo; grandchildren, Donald Taylor III, William Taylor, Kaden (Carlee) Whipple, and Bailey Blackley; and great granddaughter, Madilynn Whipple.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Arland, on December 9, 2010; mother, Annie, on September 6, 2006; and nephew, Aiden Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask you to plant a tree in Robert's memory.

The Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
