Larry Everly Jr., known to many as "Doc," passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 61. He was born on July 19, 1964, and lived a life shaped by hard work, strong opinions, and a deep love for his family.

He spent much of his life farming and working the land, but fishing was what he loved most. Being on the water brought him a sense of freedom and peace, whether he was casting a line in silence or sharing the moment with someone beside him.

He cherished traveling with his wife, Gena Everly. Those trips were a highlight of his life - time spent exploring, laughing, and simply being together. The miles and adventures they shared became some of his most meaningful memories.

He was a father who taught through action rather than words. He believed in showing up, doing the work, and standing firm in what you believe. He was not a man of endless patience, but he was real, present, and unwavering in his love for his children and grandchildren.

He loved his grandchildren deeply and took pride in watching his family grow. His presence filled a room, and his absence will be felt just as strongly.

He is survived by his wife, Regenia Everly; his children, Matthew Everly, Michael Everly, and Melissa Everly; his grandchildren; and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Larry Everly Sr. and Judy Everly, and his grandmother, M. Marie Jordan.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a hardworking father, a proud grandfather, and a man who found his greatest peace near the water, fishing, boating, hunting arrowheads, and finding his greatest joy with those he loved.

A celebration of his life will be held on January 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Missouri.
