Larry Nicholas Finamore of Krebs, Oklahoma passed away at the age of 71 on August 16, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born in McAlester, Oklahoma, on January 21, 1953, to Nicholas "Nick" Finamore and Ernestine (Ramazetti) Finamore, Larry's life was one marked by dedication, kindness, and a quiet yet profound influence on those around him.
He graduated from McAlester High School and furthered his education at Eastern Oklahoma State College, where he earned his Associate's degree. Larry's commitment to his community was evident through his long-standing career as a lab technician at McAlester Regional Health Center, where he served for over 30 years. His work was not just a job but a testament to his care for others, ensuring that his patients received the best support possible.
Beyond his professional life, Larry was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Krebs. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and interactions with everyone he met. Larry's involvement in the church was a reflection of his belief in service and community.
Larry's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was a talented guitar player, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, a hobby that provided him with both adventure and tranquility. Larry was also a coin collector, a pursuit that showcased his meticulous nature and appreciation for history and craftsmanship. His commitment to preserving local history was further demonstrated through his active participation in the Krebs Historical Society.
Those who knew Larry would describe him as a generous soul, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. He was kind-hearted, often putting the needs of others before his own.
Larry's family was the bedrock of his life. He is survived by his sister, Mary Louise Conley and her husband, Coye, of McAlester; his nieces and nephew: Teresa Crossen and her husband, Chad, of Frisco, TX, Christina Finamore of McAlester, and Nick Conley of McAlester; his great nephews and great niece: Garrett Conley, McKenzie Finamore, and Tayvion Finamore; his long-time girlfriend, Patricia "Trish" Frasher of Krebs; his uncle, George Finamore of Krebs; and a host of cousins: Mary Alicia Pena, Marcella Barone, Carmen Buller, Domenica Lovera, Michael Finamore, Brian Finamore, Karla Archibeque, Joey Pace, Stephen Pace, Stephanie Ford, Debra Gardner, Melanie Finamore, Katrina Prichard, and Sunnie Landin, along with all their families.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Nick and Ernestine Finamore; his brother and sister-in-law: Carl Finamore and Cindy (Briggs) Finamore; and his beloved aunt, Phyllis Finamore.
