Larry Peter Fleming

Age 80, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Covenant Hospital-Cooper Campus in Saginaw.

Larry was born July 28, 1945, in Saginaw, the son of Peter and Catherine (Ryan) Fleming. He graduated from Breckenridge High School and SVSU. Larry married Dianne Kirkey on October 29, 1966. He worked as a computer programmer for Dow Chemical, was a farmer and the Jonesfield Township Supervisor and Assessor for over 30 years. Larry was a member of the Merrill Lions Club and St. Patrick Ryan Catholic Church. He loved his family very much and enjoyed going to his children's and grandchildren's events.

He is survived by his wife Dianne, sons Eric (Cindy) Fleming, Brian (Lisa) Fleming, Scott (Amy) Fleming, Chad (Nicole) Fleming, grandchildren Nichole, Jacob (fiancée Britney), Jacob, Alexander (Isabel), Benjamin (fiancée Bailey), Mason, Olivia, Zoe (Kaleb), Caden, great grandchildren Emma (fiancé Hunter), Hudson, Lilly, siblings William (Barb) Fleming, Dennis Fleming, Maureen (Thomas) Rupp, Jane Janze, Sheila (Brian) Bugbee and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Sr. Anne Fleming.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11 am at St. Patrick Ryan Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Ryan Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of Mass all at the Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
