Larry Julius Forthun

Larry J. Forthun, 67, of Williston, ND and formerly of Alexander, ND passed away February 8, 2025, at the CHI Hospital in Williston. He was born June 5, 1957, in Williston, ND to Stanley and Borgny (Heller) Forthun. He was raised and grew up on the land of his grandparents homestead later attending school in Alexander. From a very early age, Larry could be found learning the ropes of farming alongside his father. Throughout most of his adult life, Larry continued the family's legacy of farming and ranching on their farm. His favorite past times included hunting and fishing. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Teresa Forthun of Williston; brothers, John Forthun (Carrie) of Williston, Tom Forthun (Pru) of Nevada and Mark Forthun (Olga) of Texas; sisters, Judy Smith (Wade) of Froid, MT and Nancy Lervik (Wayne); step-children, Laura Anne Gabriele of Missoula, MT, Bonnie Rose Kluzek, Candice Jasmine Westerman of Connecticut, Brittany Alison Arnstad (John); grandchildren, Kaiden, Bailey and Abigail. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Borgny and his sisters, Dianne Peterson and Beverly Nelson.
