Larry Dean Frazier, age 86 of Springfield, died November 21, 2023. He was born June 22, 1937 in Caruthersville, the son of Curtice and Linnie Laverne (Davis) Frazier.
On December 27, 1959, Larry was united in marriage to Glenna (Hanks) at Ozark Christian Church off the square in Ozark.
Larry served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an Army Airborne Ranger.
Larry was a member and deacon at Central Christian Church, Springfield. He had also been a member of Branson United Methodist Church and most recently Schweitzer Church.
Larry enjoyed golf and living at the lake, especially when their children and grandchildren were there to entertain. He loved joking around and telling stories to all who would listen.
Larry was the CEO of White River Electric Co-op for 25 years until retirement. He served on many boards, during that time including Show Me Power in Marshfield and Associated Electric. He also served on the Missouri State University Foundation, and he and Glenna were active and supportive alumni and Bear and Lady Bear fans. He was currently on the board of Great Southern Bank where he served for many years. He started a cable TV company in Branson and served on the Branson Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of Sertoma Clubs of Springfield and Branson. Larry was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at MSU and was involved in the alumni association.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenna Frazier of Springfield; two children, Craig Douglas Frazier and wife Mary Kay of Springfield and Cynthia Deane Frazier and husband Mike Eisenhauer of Hollister; grandchildren, Ryan Douglas Frazier and wife Kathryn of Springfield, Alison Lin Morrow of Kansas City, Missouri, Kaylee Brianne Steere and husband Brett of Creve Coeur, Missouri and Amanda Christine Pestotnik and husband Matthew of Cleveland, Ohio; great grandchildren, Luka Deane Pestotnik, Kaden Cosgrove Steere, Dean Garner Frazier and Oskar Allan Pestotnik; his sister in law Wilma Frazier and her children David Frazier, Mark Frazier, and Gwen Thomas and families; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dennis and Patsy Hanks; many Hanks family nieces and nephews; and his maltipoo Miss Dede.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Frazier; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Jim Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Frazier Cemetery, Boaz. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Monday immediately before the funeral in the funeral home.
