Larry C. Fugate, 81, of Columbus, passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones on December 29, 2024. He was born in Columbus on January 19, 1943 to the late Clarence and Violette Fugate.
He is survived by his loving partner of over 24 years, Judy Stewart; former wife, Sue Fugate; children: sons, Anthony “Tony” (Angie) and Rob; daughter, Jaimie; sisters, Phyllis Grierson and Janet Greling; grandchildren, Haylee, Anthony Jr., Nick, and Jake; step-children, Sean (Whitney) Stewart, Paul (Meredith) Stewart; step-grandchildren, Braxton, Brody, Brennan, and Bryce; many nieces and nephews; and of course, his fur-child, Toby.
Along with his parents, Larry is preceded in death by children, Little Larry and Lisa; and brothers, Philip and Paul.
Larry was a lifetime entrepreneur, he began working his paper route at the age of 11. Through many business ventures, he was best known for Bruno’s Italian Restaurant, which spanned well over 30 years. He retired in December of 2020, at the age of 77.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to Florida. He used to ride Harley’s with great friends and attended several Daytona and Sturgis Bike Weeks. He loved his family and was a great provider.
His children and grandchildren brought him so much Joy. His best buddy, Toby, completed him. He credited Judy for taking such great care of him- The Love was Evident.
Family and Friends may call Tuesday, January 7, 2025, 5-7pm, at Newcomer Northeast, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus 43231. A service to honor his life will be held at 12pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Newcomer Northeast. Burial to follow at 2pm at Greenlawn Cemetery.
