Larry Wayne Gabriel

Larry Wayne Gabriel, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Larry was born on April 7, 1942, in Stamford, Texas, to T.C. and Edith (Cohorn) Gabriel. He was raised in west Texas, and later graduated from Hobbs High School in Hobbs, New Mexico. Following graduation, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his military service, he began his professional career at Texas Instruments before embarking on a long and successful tenure with IBM.
Known affectionately by many as "Gabe," he was a man of strong faith who loved the Lord and served in many capacities alongside his beloved wife, Lana. Larry and Lana were married on July 9, 1988, and shared 37 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, service, and family.
Larry was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. His quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love for his family and faith left a lasting legacy for all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, T.C. and Edith Gabriel.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Lana Gabriel; his children: son, Sean Gabriel, and daughters, Rena Douglass (Brad) and Zsanette Gabriel; and his six grandchildren: Jace Gabriel, Colt Gabriel, Whitney Oestreich (Spencer), Kevin Douglass (Marisol), Lakota Wiede (Gabriel), and Aiden Calloway.
Larry will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
