A graveside service for Mr. Larry Wayne Garvin, 72, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, with Dr. Grant Bamburg officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe.
Mr. Garvin was born on June 6, 1953, and passed away on January 2, 2026, after a brief illness.
Mr. Garvin worked as a store clerk for many years. During his spare time, he liked to go fishing and spend time with family. He also loved listening to Conway Twitty and watching western movies.
Mr. Garvin was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Garvin; and his father, Archie Garvin.
Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Sanderson and her husband Louis Sanderson; siblings, Ronnie Garvin and his wife Ann Garvin, Randall Garvin and wife Cheryl Garvin, and Judy Parker; grandchildren, Vivian Aultman and her husband Reece Aultman, Sarabeth Garvin, Alex Sanderson, and Thomas Sanderson; great grandchild, Noah Aultman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
