Larry Dean Greenawalt, 87, of Findlay died on September 2, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born on June 1, 1938 in Lima, OH to the late Harry and Wilma (Wood) Greenawalt. He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate, Raeleen J. Bucher. They enjoyied 66 years of life brimming with joy, laughter and love.
Larry is also survived by his sons: Michael (Kristen) Greenawalt of Lynchburg, OH, Matthew (Stacie) Greenawalt of Van Buren and Mark (Amy) Greenawalt of Seymour, IN; daughters: Shelly (Martin) Pauley of Columbus and Sharla (Mitch) Hubbard of Spring Arbor, MI; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sheri Iliff; and a granddaughter, Amy Pauley.
Larry retired from Marathon Oil Company as a Civil Engineer after 37 years. He was a member of Living Hope Church, Findlay, and the Ohio Society of Professional Engineering. Larry volunteered his time at the Lighthouse Community where he offered his expertise wherever it was needed. His generous, kind, patient spirit was evident in all aspects of his life. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and woodworking in his shop.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, at Living Hope Church, Findlay, where visitation will be held 2 hours (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) prior to the service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
Memorial contributions may be made to support Jim Iliff's cancer treatment expenses via GoFundMe by searching for "James Iliff, organized by Dion Hernandez" under the title "Won't you be my neighbor?" and/or Ohio Northern University School of Engineering.
