Larry Guzman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel - Visalia on Dec. 20, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved grandpa, Larry Hernandez Guzman Sr., who left this world on December 14th, 2025, at age 73. He was a man of strength, kindness, and quiet wisdom, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Larry was born on February 9th, 1952, in Big Springs, Texas. At the age of two, his family moved to California and settled in Visalia. He attended Houston Elementary School, Green Acres Middle School and graduated from Redwood High School in 1970. In high school, he played football, baseball, and was in the Redwood marching band, and in the mix of all of that, he met the love of his life, Terri. They were married on July 10th, 1971. In 1974, they welcomed their firstborn, Nikki, and later completed their family with their second born, Larry Jr, in 1980.
Our papa lived a life rooted in family, faith, hard work, and integrity. He enjoyed golfing with his brothers, son, and grandson, made frequent trips to the casino, and loved to sit in the garage, drinking his coffee and telling stories of his childhood and lawn mowing days. He loved to attend church on Sundays with his granddaughters and talk anyone's ear off about the Lord and His Kingdom. Above all, his top priority was to support all whom he loved. He was the kind of man, who would listen patiently, laugh endlessly, and love unconditionally.
Larry spent a lot of his career driving trucks, but when he was off, he loved camping at Grant Grove with his family. He went from driving diesels to the little black truck with built in seats for his grandkids and made a mean fried egg. He often reminisced about the Disneyland trip he took with his entire family too. His favorite part was reversing on the scooter and planning his next trip with everyone, always stating he wanted to go just "one last time."
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo and Lydia, brother Danny, sister Gracie, and his beloved wife, Terri.
Larry is survived by his two children, Nikki and Larry Jr. (Carissa), 10 grandchildren, Larry III (Donna), Aryn (Rene), Emma (Justin), Ally (Bryson), Kaylee, Mia, Layla, Hailey, Anthony, and Alexa, and 2 great-grandchildren, Aceyn and Vincent, his brother Randy and many nieces and nephews.
