Larry Wayne Hall, 63, of Elkin, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center. Born in Mercer County, West Virginia, on May 5, 1962, he was the son of Alton Phillips and Beatrice Vannoy Phillips.
Larry was passionate about hunting, fishing, camping, and working on cars, and he also cherished spending time with his family. Above all, he held dear his faith and his beloved wife, Jane. Known for his infectious personality, Larry had a gift for making those around him laugh and smile. He was a devoted member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and held a deep affection for his church family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Vannoy Phillips; grandparents, Clyde and Iva Vannoy; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Kenneth Jones and Jane Carolyn Jones.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Jones Hall, at home; his son, Jaye Hall, and wife Kayla of Elkin; his daughter, Jessica Mingo, and husband Amilleo of Rock Hill, SC; his sister, Dina Wilson, and husband Gene of State Road; grandchildren, Tyler Hall and wife Stephanine, Ryder Hall, Briggs Darnell, Simon Luna, Syndall Luna, and MaKenna Hall; and great-grandchildren, William Hall and Elena Hall.
A funeral service honoring Larry’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Dwayne Lankford officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
