Larry Henry Obituary

Larry Preston Henry, born on June 24, 1957, in Springfield, TN, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Goodlettsville, TN. He leaves behind a legacy characterized by his unwavering kindness, cheerful disposition, and a life devoted to his family and community.

Larry dedicated many years of his career as a Service Manager, with his last position being at Rivergate Mall. His work was just one aspect of his life; he was equally devoted to his family. Larry cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, fulfilling his deepest aspirations as a grandfather. His memories are intertwined with moments fishing, watching television, enjoying the outdoors, working on cars, riding motorcycles, and most importantly, creating lasting bonds with his wife, children, and beloved dog, Bubba.

Larry is survived by his wife, Linda Henry, with whom he shared 35 years of love and companionship. He is also mourned by his daughter, Sheryl McGee; and his adored grandchildren, Alyssa Hagewood, Maleigha Hagewood, Joseph Cardwell, Ava Brown, and Michael Brown. Larry is remembered fondly by his stepsister, Nativia Honeycutt, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill and Gertrude Henry and  his mother, Mary Henry; his children, Kenneth Bryant, Krystal Jakes, and Chasity Bryant; and his brothers, Clyde and Paul Henry. The memories of these loved ones will forever remain cherished in the hearts of those who knew Larry.

A visitation will be held on January 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172.

Larry leaves behind a world that is slightly dimmer without his bright spirit. His genuine warmth and generosity will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
