Larry L. Johnson of Canton, Ohio, passed away at his home on September 8, 2025. He was 75. He was born on July 3, 1950, to Leroy Schumacher and Edith Jett, who have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sally Jo (Kollmorgen) Johnson and stepfather, Clarence Jett.

Remembering the memories are those who survive; daughter, Dawn Johnson; son, Larry Johnson, II (Hannah Shankle); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Misty Jett.

Most of Larry's life was spent in Canton. He retired from Republic Steel with many years of dedicated service, working as a welder. He enjoyed pool, fishing, and hunting. His family was the center of his life, and he cherished the time spent with them and the many memories they made. He was a huge dog lover and enjoyed spending time with his furry companion, Penny, who previously crossed the rainbow bridge. He was a proud Army veteran who served in the Vietnam era from 1969 to 1972.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton, where the service will follow immediately at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jeffrey Witherspoon will officiate. Interment will take place at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon, with Military Honors being presented.
