It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry Lenard Johnson, a beloved brother, and dedicated school bus driver, who left us on September 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on November 16, 1952, in the vibrant city of Detroit, MI, Larry spent his life making a difference in the lives of many.

Larry's warm heart and unwavering dedication to his work exemplified his love for children and his commitment to his community. He connected with countless families over the years, ensuring that every child felt safe and cared for on their journey to and from school.

He is survived by his 9 siblings who cherished every moment spent together. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties and the love that endures even through difficult times.

Larry's life will be honored in a series of heartfelt ceremonies. A public viewing will take place at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM where friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of the joy he brought to their lives. The services will also be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 9th, with the Family Hour starting 12:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, where those who loved him will share their memories and honor his legacy.

Larry will find his final resting place at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, MI. His spirit will be carried in the hearts of all who knew him, a vibrant reminder of love, kindness, and community.
