Larry June passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born in Ithaca, NY to the late Victor and Della June.
Larry worked as a personnel manager for Metropolitan Personnel Systems and was Senior Vice President of American Staffing prior to retirement. During retirement, he spent his summers boating and fishing on Cayuga Lake and loved driving his 1967 Barracuda to breakfast every day. Larry also enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Maine, where he loved his seafood, and traveling to Illinois to visit his son, daughter-in-law and grandson.
For many years, Larry played in the Ithaca Softball League, Lansing Friday League, and Fastpitch League in Cortland, and he also coached his sons in little league. He was an avid bowler in leagues with his wife and sons, and fan of the New York Yankees baseball and New York Giants football teams. He also enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills. More than anything, Larry loved being a husband, father and grandfather.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Della June; brother, Victor June, II; son, Larry June, Jr.; and best friend, Gary Garrett, with whom he spent time metal detecting for Indian artifacts. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann; son, Jason; sister, Brenda (Malcolm Bloomer); sisters-in-law, Laurie June and Helena Welch (Dennis); brother-in-law, Tom DeLong (Joyce); and grandchildren, Austin and Hailey. He also leaves behind Natalie Bianconi, who was part of their family; Jocelyn Deaveiro, who shared and celebrated his birthday with him every year; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Hospicare and Palliative Care Services.
