Larry Joseph “Boggie” La Fontaine, age 77, passed away Tuesday September 3, 2024, at his residence with his loving family surrounding him. He was born September 25, 1946 to Ory and Lydia La Fontaine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, LeRoy La Fontaine; two sisters, Ruth Ann Pacek and Jeannette La Fontaine; and three nephews, Jeffrey Ladner, David “Davey” Pacek Jr. and Michael Pacek, Sr.
Larry volunteered as the Pass Christian Athletic Trainer for Pass Christian High School for 30 years. He served the area communities for 43 years as a Firefighter/ EMT. Larry was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He leaves his cherished memories to his loving wife of 57 years, Theda La Fontaine; his two sons, Mark La Fontaine (Jep) and Chris La Fontaine (Raymond); grandchildren, Elizabeth La Fontaine, Christian La Fontaine, and Emily La Fontaine; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family would like to express a sincere “Thank You” to the staff of Dr. Irene Koskan and Arden Hospice.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday, September 6, 2024, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, September 7, 2024, friends may visit with the family at 9:00 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow the services at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pass Christian Volunteer Fire Department.
