Larry Lee Lance passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10:42 p.m.,

surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on February 9, 1947, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late Gahlen and Kelleen

(Gault) Lance.

On December 18, 1982, he married the love of his life, Norma Louise (Jenny) Lance

and she survives. He Is also survived by his three sons:

Braden Craig (Mandy) Lance, Gregory Lowell (Kathleen) Lance, and Christopher Lynn

(Elizabeth) Lance; three grandchildren, Alexis (Cody) Castle, Nicholas Lance, and

Mykenzie Lance; and one great-grandchild, Garrett Mathew Castle. Also surviving

his sister, Caroll (Pete) Heisler, and their sons, Matt

and Adam, as well as his brother, Dennis (Barb) Lance, and their children, Brody

(Kristen) and Kate (Ryan). He was preceded in death by his son Travis Brian Lance.

Larry loved his country and joined the U.S. Navy in August 1966. He served on the USS

America during the Vietnam War as a Boilerman. Later in life, he was deeply committed

to support veterans, working at the local Veterans office alongside Shelly and Amy,

whom he loved and we all consider to be family.

He joined the Freemasons and was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on

May 2, 1973, at Mad River Lodge #161. He continued serving in other Masonic

bodies throughout the remainder of his life.

He devoted much of his time to serving others as a volunteer EMT and instructor for

several organizations, including West Liberty EMS, the Red Cross, the American Heart

Association, and Mended Hearts. He was also a proud member of the VFW and

American Legion.

Larry loved those around him, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved

helping his community and was constantly looking for ways to raise funds for those in

need. He attended the West Liberty United Methodist Church. His pastor, Rod Brower,
