Larry was born on October 10, 1947, in Enid, to Delmar and Mildred (Zeigler) Lasher, and passed away on June 16, 2025 at his home.
Larry met the love of his life, Barbara Ford, on May 16, 1974, in Enid, they were late married on January 24, 1975, in Enid. They were married for fifty years. Larry was a giving man, loving man, he was very soft spoken, and when he had something to say, you listened. Larry and Barbara were inseparable from the time they met, and he fit right in with Barbara's family.
Larry was a history buff, he frequently visited old battlefields, visiting museums, he also enjoyed metal detecting. Larry was very knowledgeable about history, and if he overheard someone saying something wrong, he would let them know the truth. Larry and Barbara enjoyed sightseeing, traveling around, and cruising. Larry's favorite thing to do was spending time with Barbara, and her children, and was an amazing stepfather to her children.
Larry and Barbara worked for the Oklahoman newspaper for ten years, then they both worked for the Enid News and Eagle for five years, delivering papers, where they made many friends, and had many memories together.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Barbara; Stepdaughter Shawna Harrf; nieces Kim Miller and Lisa Autry, and several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother; stepson Johnny Taylor; and sister Lila Autry.
Larry would help anyone in need, and not expect anything in return, he was always helping and giving advice when needed.
Memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
