It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd B. Lasher on February 26th, following a courageous battle with aspiration pneumonia.
Visitation for Lloyd, 84, will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL, 60067. The Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home. The Interment will be private.
Lloyd was born on August 20, 1941, in Kittanning, PA to the late Carl and Martha (Harding) Lasher. He was the eldest of three children.
After proudly serving three years in the United States Army as a Food Inspector, Lloyd relocated to Chicago, where he married his first wife, Victoria Stutts. They were married for six years.
Lloyd dedicated nearly 20 years of service to Continental Bank. It was there that he met the love of his life, Susan (née Slager). Lloyd and Susan shared 42 wonderful years of marriage together.
Following his retirement, Lloyd continued serving others by working with Meals on Wheels through Catholic Charities for ten years, something he truly enjoyed and found meaningful.
Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife, Susan; his daughter Amanda (Brian McGovern); his three cherished grandchildren, Brian Jr., Sandra, and Ivy; his eldest daughter, Michelle; his beloved sister, Sally (Dale) McMillen; and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Martha; his brother, Delbert; and his sister-in-law, Darla.
