A private Funeral Mass for Violet T. Berta (nee Faletti), 96, a long-time resident of Palatine since 1973, will be held by the family at St. Thomas of Villanova Church. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, Illinois.
Violet was born February 07, 1929, in Seatonville, Illinois, and passed away surrounded by her family on, February 4, 2026, in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Violet was the beloved wife of the late Dominic F. Berta; loving mother of Cathy (Dewayne) Husser, Frank (Dina) Berta, Mary (Janet Peterson) Berta, Joan Berta, and Teresa (Barry) Calpino; loving grandmother of Christopher (Lauren) Husser, Andrew Husser, Matthew (Ying) Berta, Brianna (Jeremy) Thompson, Virginia Calpino, Benjamin (Nicole Ortega) Calpino, and Jacob Calpino. Violet had 9 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Evelyn, Phalicity, Yirme, Carmel, Avi, Odelyah, Elisheba, and Mimi; and 4 great-great grandchildren, Sage, Georgia, June, and Hazel. She was the dear daughter of the late Anton and Antoinette (nee Capello) Faletti; fond sister of the late Guelfo Faletti, Leo (Carolyn) Faletti, Olivia Faletti, Althea Faletti, and Flora (Arthur) Monheim.
Violet was an exceptional cook and baker and enjoyed tending to her garden and yard. She was a die-hard White Sox fan, Jeopardy aficionado, and crossword puzzler. She loved road trips and adventures, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. All in all, she loved life!
In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls or St. Thomas of Villanova Church.
