Larry Leaf Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home - Macomb on May 30, 2025.
Larry "Scott" Leaf, 62 of Macomb, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home at 4:05 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born September 3, 1962 in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Larry and Rita (Graves) Leaf; he married Robin Montagna on Oct. 12, 1996.
Larry is survived by his wife, Robin; his mother, Rita Patrick of Macomb, Illinois; two children, Chauncey (Brandi) Montagna of Wilton, Iowa, Savana (Ryan) Woods of Mendota, Illinois; five grandchildren which he adored, Chase, Teegan, Liam, Ryder, and Rylee; three siblings, Steven Leaf (Tammy) of Knoxville, Illinois, Debra (Bill) Hope of St. Louis Missouri, Michele Leaf-Bautista (Dan) of Florida. He was preceded in death by his father.
Scott was an avid lover of being a "river rat". One of his favorite hobbies was driving his Glastron boat down the Mississippi river with his family in tow. Often stopping for a nice prime rib along the way. Boat in breakfast and the Rukus Run were always top priority. Another favorite hobby was jamming out with his guitar in the garage; Rock was his favorite. Many weekends were spent with his daughter, Savana, on their quads drag racing. Scott also loved teaching his son, Chauncey, how to play guitar. He was a great carpenter and electrician. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and often made a lot of new friends along the way. His favorite "child" was his beloved rabbit, Snowball.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
