Larry M. Marshall

Larry M. Marshall, age 83, of Nekoosa, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at The House of The Dove in Marshfield, WI.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial Rites will be held at Mount Repose Cemetery in Friendship, WI at a later date.
Larry was born on June 16, 1941 in Coloma, WI to the late Mitchel and Arletta (Beeman) Marshall. He married Donna Voboril on September 26, 1964 in Adams, WI. Throughout Larry's life he worked many jobs. He was a tow-motor operator, mill worker, ambulance driver, EMT, and a member of the Nekoosa Fire Department from June 1969 until his retirement as Fire Chief in January 1999. Larry taught small engine repair at Mid State Technical College, and snowmobile safety with his wife, Donna for many years. Larry was an active member of the Sunset Drifters Snowmobile Club in central Wisconsin. In his spare time, Larry loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and meat processing with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Donna Marshall; children, Janice (Luke) Wojtalewicz, Lori (Neil) Jacobitz, and Michelle (Michelle Syring) Marshall; grandchildren, Seth (Jessica), Ethan (Katy), Breanna (Michael), Tyler, and McKenzie (Dylan); great-grandchildren, Gabby, Bryce, Mitchel, Garrett, Cooper, and Owen; sister-in-law Lois Marshall; and brother-in-law Donald Schmidt.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchel and Arletta Marshall; in-laws, Ray and Janet Voboril; brother, Jerry Marshall; and sister Marlene Schmidt.
Larry's family would like to thank the entire staff at Aspirus Wausau Neuro ICU and Palliative Care, as well as Compassus Hospice at The House of the Dove for their kindness and care of Larry and the entire Marshall family throughout his final days.
