Larry McCraw Obituary
Mr. Larry “Fish” Dean McCraw, age 68, of Lambsburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on November 30, 1955 in Surry County to the late Arthur and Mary Jones McCraw. Mr. McCraw worked for Vulcan Material for 45 years as a heavy equipment operator. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Versie Pack McCraw; daughters, Lisa Smithies, Rose McCraw (Eli Leftwich), Ashely McCraw; sons, David Goodnough, Kenny McCraw (Shauna), grandchildren, Dakota, Caleb, Leah, Ian, and Kennis McCraw, Emily, Jennifer, Billy, and Kimberly Smthies; niece, Reanna Ramirez. In addition to his parents, Mr. McCraw was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy McCraw, and a brother, Gary McCraw. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at McCraw Family Cemetery in Cana with service conducted by Brian Hill. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
