Larry Wayne Messer, 68, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his home.
He was born on March 21, 1955 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Billy and Meredith Fultz Messer.
Larry had worked at Foley and Garry’s where he did front end alignments and he was a veteran having served in the United States Army.
He was a member of the East End Church of God and enjoyed going to yard sales and coon hunting.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Joe Messer, James Norris and Larry William Messer (Danielle) all of Morehead and Ronnie Messer (Catausha) of Grayson, Kentucky, four daughters, Janie Kiser (Fenton), Sheila Burton and Christy Adams (Jeff) all of Morehead and Revena Bloomfield (James) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, one sister, Arlene Layne (Dewayne) of Morehead, nineteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 2, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Larry Hamm and Brother Robbie Puckett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fultz Cemetery on Greasy Creek in Carter County, Kentucky with full military honors conducted at the graveside by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Cooper, Blake Messer, Seana Noble, Danny Messer, Christopher Norris and Brentnee Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Messer, James Norris, Terry Henderson, Breanna Wilson and James Bloomfield.
