Larry H. Mitchell

Mr. Larry H. Mitchell, age 87 of Rainsville, AL, went home to be with Jesus on September 17, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 2 pm in Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Mitchell, Rev. Roger Graham and Rev. Dr. Jason Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens with Rainsville Funeral Home, Inc. directing. Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 21 from 12 pm – 2 pm. Larry was a devoted husband, Dad, Papaw, brother and friend who was preceded in death by his wife of 61 ½ years, Ann B. Mitchell, and parents, Luke and Arlene Mitchell. Larry is survived by his very special friend, Dell Powell, son, Stuart Mitchell and wife Kristi, and their children, Leah Mitchell and Clay (Bailey) Mitchell, son, Stanley Mitchell and wife Susan, and their children and grandchildren, Payton (Ben) Kirby, Nolan, Annie and Lucy, and Sawyer (Taylor) Putman, Eleanor, William and Margaret, brother, Harold Mitchell, sister, Mary Edmonds, and 5 nieces.
