Larry Murdock

Larry Lee Murdock, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2026.

Larry was born in Concord, Michigan, to Delbert and Marie Murdock. He met his wife, Pam, during his junior year at Concord High School, and they were united in marriage on August 7, 1964. Together, they shared 61 loving years of marriage.

Larry is survived by his children: daughter, Kim (Frankie) Matheney; sons, Tony Murdock and Corey (Kendra) Murdock; grandchildren, Mindy, Cheyanne, Anna, and Payton (Dylan); and great-grandsons, Brady Butt and Hurricane Noah. He is also survived by his brother, Jim (Cathy) Murdock; sister-in-law, Sandie Murdock; brother-in-law, Larry Levy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry had the gift of gab and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He truly enjoyed life and wore many hats throughout his working years, never fully retiring until illness prevented him from continuing. He was a talented craftsman who loved working with wood and took great pride in his work.

Throughout his life, Larry owned and operated a bottle and gas company, a roofing and eavestrough business, and built and remodeled homes. He also drove a school bus for 20 years, served as Township Clerk, volunteered with the Boy Scouts, owned Pa-La Storage Units, and briefly operated the Warehouse Drive-In. One of his greatest joys was his annual Fourth of July fireworks display, which he proudly hosted for 25 years and drew people from all over to attend.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Marie Murdock; his brother, Calvin Murdock; his sister, Sharon Murdock; and his daughter-in-law, Lori Murdock.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Lauer Family Funeral Home in Concord.

Larry was loved very much and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
