Larry Neely Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Larry E. Neely will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Oakfield Baptist Church with Bro. Mickey Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, TN. Visitation with the family will take place at the church on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until service time.
Mr. Neely, age 77, passed away peacefully in the presence of family and friends at his home in Milan on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
Larry was born in Aurora, IL to the late Sidney H. Neely and Mirdle “Inez” Wise Neely. After school, he joined the Marines and became a decorated Vietnam War combat veteran. In 1991, he married the love of his life, Marie Dickey. He enjoyed all kinds of sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, was a member of VFW post 1848 in Jackson, and Oakfield Baptist Church.
Larry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marie Neely; son, Gary Goad II (Cheryl); daughter, Jennifer Allen (Robert); 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
