ROCKY MOUNT – Larry Lynn Nicholson, age 65, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Born in Halifax County, NC on March 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Willie Junius Nicholson and Almetia Harvey Nicholson. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Nicholson.

Larry will always be remembered as a man full of life, laughter, and love. He had an amazing personality that could light up any room, and he never missed the chance to capture a moment with one of his signature selfies.

Larry cherished time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. Whether he was playing video games with them, telling stories, or just being together, those moments brought him the greatest happiness.

He also loved spending time outdoors, where he found peace and joy in fishing. His patience and love for the water reflected his calm and steady spirit.

Larry's presence brought warmth, humor, and love to everyone who knew him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed, but his laughter, love, and selfies will never be forgotten.

Larry is survived by his children sons, Montae Richardson (Tracey), Zacardi Bolling; daughters, Neisha Harris, Latoya Bolling, Darshell Bolling; grandchildren, Zyir, Amillion, Jaden, Brushard, Zyrion, Cianni, Persus, Novah, Zionah, Maloni, Nasiyah, Hailey, Tyler; sisters, Laura Nicholson, Carolyn Nicholson; nephews, Tywan Nicholson, Daniel Nicholson; nieces, Alexis Nicholson, Takaylla Bridgers and Tara Nicholson.

Services will be private.
