Larry Dean Nugent, age 76, of Blue Rapids, KS, passed away on July 4, 2025, at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE, following complications after a stroke.
A service was held at 11:00 a.m., August 2nd, at the Blue Rapids Community Center.
Larry was born on November 26, 1948, in Blue Rapids to Charles and Irma (Rigel) Nugent. He grew up in Blue Rapids, attending school and working in the local grocery stores, serving his neighbors with kindness, reliability, and a warm smile.
In 1977, Larry was united in marriage to Connie Roush. Together, they had one son, Matthew, who brought great joy to their lives.
For 42 years, Larry worked in grocery stores in the Blue Rapids and Marysville area until his retirement. Larry also enjoyed studying the history of the Bible, leading him to become a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; son, Matthew; brother, Allen (Roxie) Nugent, Blue Rapids; and sister, Kay Pacha, Marysville, KS.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508.
