LARRY JOSEPH OSANTOWSKI
Larry J. Osantowski, 67, of Gagetown, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at home. He was born February 3, 1956 to Marcus and Joan (Doerr) Osantowski. Larry married Christine Ann Strozeski June 9, 1979 in Argyle.
Larry graduated from Ubly High School in 1974 and was employed by General Cable for twenty-five years. He worked at Vita Plus until his retirement. Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren. He proudly attended his grandsons’ baseball games and his granddaughter’s dance recitals. Larry always bought a box of Valentine candy for his wife, kids and grandchildren. He loved watching Western and Karate movies. Larry was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, especially coyotes, and fishing. Larry smoked his own venison sausage. He was always there when someone needed him and would drop everything to help family and friends. Larry always wanted everything to be perfect and was fond of saying, “put stuff back where you found it”. He will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Christine; son, Jason Osantowski; daughter, Tammy (Eric) Talaski; grandchildren: Hunter, Landon, and Brooklyn Talaski; siblings: Deborah (Scott) Page, Frank (Diane) Osantowski, James (Helen) Osantowski, Joseph (Brenda) Osantowski, Mark (Bobbi) Osantowski, Ann (Dee) Grifka, Darlene (Jim) Groth, Kelly (Dale) Groth; mother-in-law, Gertrude Strozeski; brother-in-law, Sylvester (Ellen) Strozeski; sister-in-law, Arlene (Doug) Depcinski; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pat Osantowski; nephew, Eric Osantowski; father-in-law, Chester Strozeski.
Funeral mass held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Gagetown with Fr. Christopher Coman officiating. Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery, Gagetown. Memorials may be made to Christine Osantowski for the benefit of the family.
Visitation: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Gagetown
