Larry Allen Perryman

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Larry Allen Perryman.
Larry was born on August 11, 1948, in Batesville, Arkansas to Shelby and Zelma Perryman and passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at his home in Pixley, California.
The family moved to California from Arkansas and arrived in Tipton on May 6, 1951.
Larry attended Tipton Elementary School and then Tulare Union High School, after graduating in 1966 he married Brenda Atkerson on June 15, 1968, and they lived in Tipton and then moved to Pixley in 1993.
He worked for several years as a creamery employee and after retiring he loved to go to the casino to play blackjack and slot machines. We played poker as a family almost every Sunday after having lunch.
He was a devoted dad to 3 kids. He was very involved in their school activities while they were growing up and helped get the Tipton 4-H club started and was the swine leader for years. He also helped start the Tipton Bears Pop Warner football team and was on the Tipton Community Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, youngest son Casey, and mother-in-law. He is survived by his wife Brenda, son and daughter-in-law Larry "Rowdy" and Kym Perryman, and daughter and son-in-law Kim, and Chris Peevy. His 5 grandchildren Lacey Perryman and Amanda Pimentel, Dylan and Kasey Peevy, Caleb Perryman, Jacklyn Perryman, Chloe Perryman, and his great-grandson Colt Peevy. He is also survived by his one sister and six brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be viewed on Thursday, May 18 from 4-7 pm at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Home in Tulare, and graveside services on Friday, May 19 at 10 am at Tipton-Pixley Cemetery.
