Larry Radney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laurel Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Jan. 30, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Larry Lynn Radney announces his passing on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the age of 75.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon, daughter Wendy, along with Kelvin, granddaughters Torie and Tressa, along with Anfernee, great grandson Trace, and sister Theresa. He was preceded in death by his father, Lendsey Radney, and his mother, Eva Mae Radney.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to everyone. He had a fiery spirit paired with a big heart, and his love showed up in his actions, his loyalty, and the countless ways he supported those he cared about.

Larry graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas in 1969 and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon, on February 12, 1971. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974 before beginning a long and dedicated year career with LoneStar/Atmos Gas Company. Larry was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mesquite. He loved sports, camping, fishing, and hunting, and he especially cherished the moments spent coaching soccer and teaching his granddaughters how to fish. In his free time, Larry could often be found playing with his grandchildren, camping with his family, watching football and hockey, or enjoying a game of dominoes.

His presence may be gone, but the warmth of his love and the memories he created will remain forever.

I am deeply saddened to hear of your passing. I´m thankful for the encouragement and support you showed me, often in quiet ways that meant more than you may have known. Life moved quickly, and I wish I had reached out sooner. May you rest in peace, and may God welcome you home. You will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Larry always had a big heart, I remember when I started working for Atmos Energy. I wasn't sure how to take his personality Larry was strong spoken and tough, not 2 weeks after I met him Larry and a hand full of coworkers were at my house BBQing and shooting skeet. Sorry to hear this
Larry will definitely be missed.
