Rusty Reyna Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laurel Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Feb. 18, 2026.
Rusty Lee Reyna was born on January 13, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Frank Cruz Reyna and Katherine Reyna. He passed away on February 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Rusty was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Jean Reyna; his parents, Frank Cruz Reyna and Katherine Reyna; his brother, Frank Cruz Reyna II; and his stepsons, Donald Ray Garza and Rudy Machuca III. While he carried the loss of each of them in his heart, he continued to live fully and love deeply.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Matilda Sepeda-Reyna, who stood faithfully by his side. He also leaves behind his children, Rhonda Kay Rowlett and husband Wesley; Rusty Lynn Spoerl and husband Cody; Leslie Diane Hamilton and husband Riley; and Mary Esther Robinson and husband Jason; as well as his honorary son, Jacob Paroski and wife Sabrina. Rusty was a proud grandfather to Wesley, Matthew, Christian, Jack, Drue, and Emma, who brought him immense joy and pride.

He is further survived by his mother- and father-in-law, Daniel and Delfina Perez, and Cayetano Sepeda; his siblings, Kitty Belcher; Cindy Johnson and husband Jim; Jamie Reyna and wife Sylvia; Rosa Paroski and husband Tom; Tim Reyna and spouse Barry Barney; and Docia Reyna; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members in the Reyna, Sepeda, and Gautney families who will cherish his memory.

Rusty was a man who worked hard and lived life on his own terms. Gifted with his hands, he was a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything. He loved music of all kinds and was known for playing it loud enough for the whole neighborhood to enjoy. He found peace in fishing, happiness in simple pleasures, and rarely went anywhere without his beloved two-liter of Dr Pepper close by.

Above all, Rusty will be remembered for his strong spirit, his unmistakable sense of humor, and the steady, unwavering presence he brought to the lives of those who loved him. He leaves behind stories that will be told for generations and a family who will carry his love in their hearts always.

He will be deeply and dearly missed.
