Larry Layton Rutland, Sr.

December 21, 1955 - April 21, 2025

Larry Layton Rutland, Sr., age 69, of Crowley, Texas, passed away on April 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He spent over three decades on the road as a truck driver, working for Burnham Service Company and Siemens Industry Inc. His dedication and commitment to safety earned him a ten-year safe driving award during his time at Burnham-a point of pride that reflected the care he brought to his work.

In 2017 he retired to spend more time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and dogs. Larry spent quality time with family and friends doing the things he loved including boating, fishing, golfing, and hunting.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann, and his two children and eight grandchildren. Amanda and her daughter Avery. Larry Jr. and fiancée Jennifer and their children June, Meriden, Trista, Larry III, Ryder, Scarlett, and Hudson. He also leaves behind his faithful canine companions, Beasley, Abby, and Shelby, who were constant sources of comfort and loyalty.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mountain Valley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers or food, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Larry's memory to the North Texas Humane Society at https://www.hsnt.org/donate- a cause dear to Larry's heart.
