The following is an obituary written by Larry's loving family.
Larry Seals, 78, of Pittsboro, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on January 20, 2026.
Born on February 8, 1947, to the late Clyde and Marie Seals, Larry lived a life defined by hard work and a mischievous sense of humor. He dedicated 32 years to the Ford Motor Company before retiring in 2000, a career that reflected his lifelong connection to the automotive world.
On August 20, 1965, Larry married his high school sweetheart, Karen Thompson Seals. Together, they built a beautiful life and family over 61 years of marriage. A legendary prankster, Larry’s favorite holiday was April Fool’s Day; he found great joy in a well-executed joke and the laughter that followed. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed hunting, racing, watching classic Westerns, and, above all, spending time at family gatherings.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; their children, Jeff (Kim), Lori, and Chad (Dave); his brother, Randy (Rena) Seals; and his sister, Dawn (Jim) Harvey.
Larry's legacy continues through his four grandchildren: Katelynn Lee, Shanoa (Collin) Horn, Cody Lee, and Ashlynn Lee; and his two great-grandchildren, Avery and Gentry.
In accordance with Larry’s wishes, there will be no formal services or celebration of life at this time
Arrangements are entrusted to Eric MD Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hendricks County. All are encouraged to keep Larry’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
