Larry "Shorty" Bobby Gallant

Mr. Larry "Shorty" Bobby Gallant, age 69, of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, March 16,2024 at his home.   He was born on January 13, 1955, in Surry County to the late William and Stacy Lawson Gallant.  Larry was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.   Surviving is his son, Robert William Gallant; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Moore and John; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Gallant and Brenda, James “Edward” Gallant and Lois, Donald Gallant and Nancy; special nieces, Tina Dunmon, Sarah Woods.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Gallant was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Gallant.  A funeral service will held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Slate Mountain Baptist Church with the Reverend Chris McMillian officiating.  Interment will follow in the Slate Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, March  21 2024, at Slate Mountain Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
