Larry "Buffalo" Simpson, age 72, passed away on his family homestead August 13, 2024. A surrounding that he was comforted by, land that he devoted his love and time to, and a physical space which to him meant family.
Buffalo was known as a hardworker. He had large hands that could build and mend. He was crafty, as a farmer needs to be, putting his thriftiness and grit to the task- he could fix almost anything. He retired as a heavy equipment hauler. Long working hours did not scare him away. He did make a point, however, to get back to family quickly and fill his role on the family farm: O.W. Simpson Stock Farms.
Though some thought he resembled a gruff buffalo, he was loved by so many friends. He was comforted by the presence of his girlfriend, Jill. In his last days, he was entertained by nieces and nephews on the farm, always bustling around. Buffalo embraced the loving chaos.
In heaven, Buffalo is greeted by his father, Opal "Dude" Simpson and his brother, Gary Simpson. He leaves behind on earth his mother; Barbara Sebree Simpson, youngest brother, Jeff (Gloria) Simpson, Girlfriend; Jill Strange, nieces and nephews, Andy (Mandy) Simpson and Dr. James (Rachel) Simpson, and Great-nieces and nephews; Addyson, Alivia, Henry, and Natalie Simpson.
